Typical
Process
A
typical Search and Selection engagement will involve the following
key steps:
Initially, we like to spend time with our client organisations in
order to understand the intricacies of their approach to business,
functional and industry practises, clients, culture and values.
Understanding this fully is a pre-requisite to discussing the specifics
of the position being recruited for. This approach then allows us
to identify the most appropriate candidate/s available from our
extensive network of contacts and database, prior to any advertising.
Often the 'fast track' record of these individuals will be attained
via an amalgamation of Strategic Consulting, Industry and/or Investment
Banking (Corporate Finance / M&A) exposure.
Following initial identification of the most suitable candidates
comes our internal interview process. Individuals are screened to
verify their calibre, track record and whether they would be a cultural
fit for the organisation in question. We look to identify evidence
of talented personalities with language skills, strong extra-curricular
activities and achievements, prior to the client becoming involved
in the process. Part of candidate assessment is via a Competency-Based
Interviewing (CBI) screening approach. Whilst clients have their
own screening methodologies, CBI provides additional insurance that
the first rate candidates will fulfil the requirements of their
job function. We always like to see candidates in person wherever
possible and can arrange psychometric and aptitude tests where a
client specifically requests it.
We provide our clients with a verbal and written candidate appraisal.
Irrespective of candidate seniority, we provide a comprehensive
insight into their strong international academic backgrounds, including
relevant Scholarships, Awards and Achievements. We detail all academic
scores (e.g GMATs, GPAs, Z-Scores) notwithstanding when and where
in the world they studied and under which educational system. Examples
of typical post-undergraduate Business Schools that many of our
candidates attend can be found at business
schools.
Only after we have undertaken this research will we contact our
clients and forward on the relevant information. Following discussion
and candidate preparation, a client's bespoke interviewing (and
often Case Study based) examination will then commence.
